Refund & Return Policy

1. General Statement

We stand behind the quality of our products and services. However, due to the nature of firearm sales and federal regulations, certain items are not eligible for return or refund. This policy explains the conditions and process for returns, refunds, and exchanges.

2. Firearms

  • All firearm sales are final once they are transferred to the buyer by the receiving Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer.
  • Firearms cannot be returned or exchanged after transfer, except in cases of manufacturer defect covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
  • If a firearm is refused or denied during the background check process, the item will be returned to us and the order will be refunded minus:
    • Shipping costs (both ways)
    • A 15% restocking fee

3. Ammunition

  • Ammunition sales are final and cannot be returned due to safety and legal considerations.
  • In the rare event of a defective product, the buyer must contact the manufacturer directly for warranty support.

4. Accessories, Parts & Non-Firearm Items

  • Accessories and parts may be returned within 15 days of delivery if:
    • They are unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging.
    • The buyer includes the original receipt or proof of purchase.
  • Returns are subject to inspection and may incur a 15% restocking fee.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.

5. Custom Work & Special Orders

  • All custom Cerakote work, gunsmithing, engraving, and special-order items are non-refundable once work has begun or the order has been placed with the manufacturer.
  • Deposits on custom work are non-refundable.

6. Damaged or Defective Items

  • If you receive an item damaged during shipping, notify us within 3 business days of delivery.
  • Keep all packaging and materials for carrier inspection.
  • Manufacturer defects must be handled under the manufacturer’s warranty policy.

7. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be issued within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
  • Refund amounts will exclude any applicable restocking fees and shipping costs.

8. How to Initiate a Return

To request a return authorization:

  1. Contact us at return@downrangeprecisionarms.com or 931-919-2829 with your order number.
  2. Wait for written authorization and return instructions before shipping items.
  3. Ship returns in secure packaging with tracking and insurance (buyer is responsible for return shipping).
