Online Firearm Purchase Policy

1. General Statement

Downrange Precision Arms complies with all federal, state, and local laws regarding the sale and transfer of firearms. By purchasing a firearm from our website, you agree to follow all applicable laws and this policy in full.

2. Age & Legal Requirements

  • Handguns: Buyer must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Long guns: Buyer must be at least 18 years of age.
  • You must be legally eligible to possess a firearm under federal, state, and local law.
  • You may not purchase firearms if prohibited by law due to criminal history, restraining orders, mental health adjudication, or other disqualifying factors.

3. Federal Firearms License (FFL) Requirement

  • All firearm purchases must be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer in your state.
  • It is the buyer’s responsibility to:
    1. Provide us with the receiving dealer’s name, address, and FFL number after purchase.
    2. Ensure the receiving dealer is willing to accept the firearm transfer.
  • We do not ship firearms directly to an individual’s home (except in rare cases allowed by law, such as certain black powder or antique firearms).

4. Transfer & Background Check

  • Your FFL dealer will perform the required ATF Form 4473 and NICS background check before transferring the firearm to you.
  • If you fail the background check or are otherwise unable to take possession, the firearm will be returned to us, and you will be subject to a restocking fee and return shipping charges.

5. Shipping & Delivery

  • Firearms will only be shipped after payment has cleared and FFL information has been verified.
  • Shipping times vary based on processing and carrier schedules.
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, FFL processing times, or government checks.

6. State & Local Law Compliance

  • Certain firearms, magazines, or accessories may be restricted or banned in your jurisdiction.
  • It is the buyer’s responsibility to know and comply with all local and state laws before ordering.
  • Orders containing items prohibited in the delivery state will be canceled and refunded minus processing fees.

7. Returns & Cancellations

  • All firearm sales are final once transferred to the buyer.
  • Before transfer, cancellations are subject to a 15% restocking fee plus return shipping.
  • Firearms refused or denied at the receiving FFL will be refunded minus shipping costs and restocking fees.
  • Defective firearms must be handled under the manufacturer’s warranty.

8. Liability Disclaimer

By purchasing a firearm from Downrange Precision Arms:

  • You certify you are not prohibited from owning firearms.
  • You assume all responsibility for safe storage, handling, and use.
  • Downrange Precision Arms is not liable for misuse, negligence, or unlawful possession of any firearm sold.
